1I know they are happy, but, boy are they going to make a mess out of that pool!

My solution is to drain it out onto the yard to jolt it with some nutrients, and refill. Takes about 24 hours and I'd have to do it anyway before spring to season clean water with chemicals.

You might want to drop a bale of barley straw in that pool, if the birds are going to have free use of it till spring. Helps keep algal blooms down.
