Ducks with geese

Ok, so i am buying two female Muscovy x Cayugas 8 months old on Friday. I have a pair of geese, Tufted Roman x Embden male Embden x Toulouse female. How would one introduce them and is it realistic to think they might be able to be penned together? Pen is 1/4 acre at least.

I sure hope you know any breed mixed with moscovys are infertile you can pen them together but just watch for any bad behaviour

Waterfowl integrate much better than chickens. Try putting them together under supervision. If there is any REALLY bad behavior, (bloodshed etc.) then keep them separate a try a different method.

If they are infertile i don't think they will ever lay

That's ok if they don't i am over r run with eggs. I want them to eat slugs around my fruit trees and i am putting a small clutch of Cayuga eggs in my incubator if all goes to plan this week and if i only end up with one duckling i don't want it alone.

I have another question, my goose was building a nest near the blackberries in her pen but there is no protection because they haven't grown yet from winter. I put a big dog kennel there and straw right on top of where she started trying. She is avoiding going back there but it is the only suitable place to nest. She looks like she desperately needs to lay her belly is nearly on the ground!

Remove he dog carrier. You are probably gonna have to secure.it a different way.

It's ok she is laying next to it against the side of it now. If i wanted her to lay a clutch and sit on the eggs, should i move them into it?

Or could i go over and put a big bottomless shelter straight over her and the egg?
