Ducks with leg problems!

The vet splinted her leg, but I don't understand how that is supposed to help her to walk on her foot, she can't feel her foot if it is wrapped up. First I will ask her to leave her foot unwrapped so I can put a boot on it and flatted it. The niacin will get here tomorrow, and I will start her on it right away. If that doesn't work, should I tell her to just take the splint off? Minnie Pearl cries because her leg gets caught and is bent backwards and she can't get up, and I am not with her 24/7 to fix it for her...I am very confused...
 
Her foot should be flat so she can at least stand and try to walk. I would think.

Glad your niacin is getting to you so quick. can you cut the wrapping away from her foot so you can massage her toes and foot and put a shoe on her? I am worried about her foot being wrapped like that.

So am I. yes I will remember to do that. I will put a boot on it to keep her toes flat.
