I did okay with crested ducks and I would love to have another go with them. The rule is you never breed a crested with a crested because of a fatal gene, but they bred quite happily with other duck breeds. The ultimate goal was to get a really good crest. Not easy. I remember around that time I got into buff orpingtons in a big way, very nice ducks.

Maybe this gal can shed some light on this for you... @Miss Lydia can you stop by and advise? 
I have Muscovy[even a drake] love him. But I do understand some don't like them or drakes in general since they can be a pain once they get hormonal. I just happen to be one of the crazy ones who love drakes and will work at making them behave and be a good flock member.
