Ducks

The black legs and broken nails are evidence that the duck either accidentally became stuck somewhere or a predator or other event may have caused the duck to panic and injure itself.

Look carefully at the legs. There may be signs of scrapes or even tiny lacerations. The legs can be treated to make the duck feel better and reduce pain by soaking in warm Epsom salts. Dry after soaking for twenty minutes and apply Vertericyn wound spray. It penetrates and hastens healing by encouraging the formation of new tissue. Do this for three days or more if the duck still appears to be in pain.

Thank you so much!
