They are messy but very entertaining! I got mine at about 2 weeks so they weren't as small as yours are going to be and I couldn't hold them that much as they were very close to each other and they would cry for each other when separated. I only fed them feed until they were ouside all the time and then I found out about the frozen peas on here. They were about 4 weeks when I had them oustide all the time. I also throw a little alfalfa in their swimming water in the mornings when I let them out of their kennel. I figure if they don't eat it at least it's in their water. They have that angel wing, it's not hurting them but I also read on here about giving them alfalfa and it helps.

I've given oats to my ducks and they love it! My dog comes out in the morning when I feed them and I make sure she gets oats too...lol
She had some corn too this morning that I put out on the ground and then I put a little in their swimming water.

I pull their food at night and they are hungry in the morning so they associate me with food or treats and I always feed them from my hand when I first bring out the food.

They had their first night in a storm and did great! I could see them out my window and some of the time they were out of their little shelter and just walkng around. This morning it was nice and dry under all the tarp so that was good!

yay! im very excited for tomorrow!

....... LOL! thats what i do! i take our german shepard out in the morning and let the chickens roam, and i throw down bread and instead of wanting to chase the chickens (shes a hearding dog) she eats their bread! and when we tell her to heard the chickens she heards them into their coop! lol

she a very sweet dog!

If they don't get to free range they need grit to digest their food. When they get old enough for veggies and treats if they are not out on the ground you have to supply the grit.

ditto.... and meal worms lol
If i so much as say the word mealworms my ducks go crazy. they love them soo much they will tear up the bag to get the them. i think its one of the only ways i can get them to swim and let me tell you my ducks HATE swimming in water
