these ducklings are only a couple days old .
And if it needs more niacin ..the feed( nutrition) is the issue. Meaning its not getting enough niacin in its feed-- which is why we add it.
And like i mentioned.. its not a problem if duckling is healthy and in limited amounts.
But when there is a leg problem you eliminate unnecessary extras and make sure they are getting enough proper feed until the problem is corrected.
And ducks can pick up specific feed off the ground. If its in a deep bowl they may not pick out specifics.. but they can sure easily pick up a mealworm / worm or slug out of a bowl of other feed

.....It takes some Ducklings a few days to get the strength in their legs....I have gotten a few that were not good on their legs the first week and would lay down after a few steps....Possibly a few sessions swimming will give it its strength it needs...

....I agree its worth a try to swim them and see if its legs need to strengthen...
