I have the Duckies ranging now. One of my biggest fears was integration with my free birds. My free birds have an all access pass to all they wish to travel too.
The leader of the free birds is named Sargent Pepper. Sgt. Pepper is a big and powerful rooster whom is friendly to humans but protects his interests.. his followers.. the free hens. For some reason or another, he has zero interests in the new additions to his turf. Never the less I'm keeping a close eye on this introduction period. Enjoying every minute of it as well.

If my female pekin hears me so much as sneeze, she starts quacking. She also reminds of a rooster. First thing in the morning when she hears the dogs she starts quacking. I call her my alarm duck.
