Duct Tape?

I have an egg that I think I accidently cracked and it has a hole in it about the size of a 12 year old's pinky finger and I still want to try to hatch it since it is really close any way and I was wondering if it would be safe to use duct tape over the hole to prevent it from cracking and or leaking more. Can anyone answer this question for me

Duct tape isn't a good idea.... try candle wax.

Im afraid to because I suspect the wax will go into the egg

Duct tape isn't penatrable by a chick, its too strong and may prevent it from being able to hatch properly. A little candlewax is usually what is suggested.

Duct tape isn't going to work. Wax of some kind. If you can hold the egg with the crack side down and then rub the was on it may work. Anytime there is a crack you lesson the chance of it hatching.
