Dude, Am I the ONLY one who thinks this is just plain WRONG!?!?

For me personally, the 'ick' factor of this bracelet is the thought of wearing a dead chicken foot against my skin...on purpose....
It has NOTHING to do with any kind of 'voodoo' as has been mentioned, and I have NOTHING against other cultures, past present or future, who use animal parts in ways that I don't.
I have dealt with plenty of dead animals in my years as a bow hunter, and there wasn't much I would want to make into jewelry from the last few elk I dressed out.

I know my opinion is just that-my opinion-and I wouldn't have any kind of problem with someone else wearing the chicken foot bracelet, but you won't find it on my wrist.

edt to ad: Oh wait, I just thought of something I want to make jewelry out of from the elk...the ivory teeth!!! They are BEAUTIFUL!!

yeah, I have a good selection of teeth I've picked up here and there.

The bones (if you are into carving) can sometimes be made into other stuff, too, as long as they aren't thin walled.

Oh and Antlers!! LOTS of stuff to do with antlers.

I think it would have been funnier with one of those toe rings (cause they are smaller and easy to adjust to fit).
(one of those happy face "have a nice day" type toe rings would have been priceless! - and doubly funny because Walmart uses it as their "mascot")

or maybe something "tattooed" onto the skin of the foot...

I have thought of creating something out of the antlers, but they are so darn gorgeous just mounted, I can't seem to get myself to cut them up.

yeah, it would be hard - I've done a couple of found deer antlers, just because I had one and not two - but even whole they make a neat stand for other stuff - my sister painted/woodburned a gourd (turned out very cool) and used an antler as a stand for it.

Worked great until her 3 year old grandson decided to play with it

(no toddlers were harmed, but the gourd took a big crack when it hit the stone tiled floor).

I also remember going for shock value, because it was fun- nowadays, I don't have to try so hard- I raise chickens and that's all it takes to shock most folks!

OK, I have to ask . . . . What has been smoked in the chicken foot pipe.

And while we are talking about animal parts being recycled..... When I was in Europe, Zurich to be exact, I saw a beautiful walking cane. . . . . made out of a bull p e n i s (spaced so editting won't happen) However, I would never own one !

well, I haven't ever smoked it myself, just use it for display, but it has been smoked before - but no funky smell or heavy resins, so I figure it was used for tobacco.

Hmm... a cane made out of a Pe... must have been one well endowed bull (or a short cane

)

It least thier putting all parts of the chicken to good use! That's so totally disgusting!

notice that they don't show it displayed on a person's arm, rather a tree branch....what does THAT tell you?
