Due April 11th, anyone with me??? I hear peeping!

Congrats everyone, your babies are so cute! Bec I'm glad the one you though passed made it, thats great news.

We are up to 8 chicks in todays hatch, more pips and zips, the only type that have not hatched or pipped in this round are the wheaten pendesencas, maybe they are slower than the bantams (I hope).

Next round is on lockdown, its mostly black javas, rest are cochins.

5 of my eggs are pipping!

I have used bandage tape to secure my little ICU babies legs together (at a normal distance apart). It seems it has spraddle leg. Does anyone know how long it needs to stay that way. I've read of other people doing it but I'm not sure how long it takes.

Yay!!!! I am so glad to hear good news from all around!!!

The chicks usually get it off themselves by the time its done, my spraddled chick spent about 24 hours in a bandaid, well a bit less since the speckled sussex helped him remove it then I put another on and he removed it the next day but by then he was hopping and walking around normal with the rest of them.

I'm up to 15 chicks, 9 are bbs bantam ameraucanas from Little Ameraucana Mom (10 made it to lockdown) the rest are pyncheons from HinkJC. Still waiting to see if the last 4 pyncheons, 1 Ameraucana and 5 wheaten pendesencas hatch.

Starting to think the pendesencas are going to be a loss, not even a pip yet. They were not packed well and the 10 that made it were a mess of egg goo I had to wash.

Look what I found this morning when I woke up! ( I orginally woke up at 4am and wanted to check on the eggs- but resisted)

Mama was a Maran, dad was either a wellsummer or a americana - so I'm anxious to see what kind of chicks I'm going to have!
