I just set 36 eggs today!!! They are all different breeds, most likely mixed, some standard, a couple bantam!!! I am hatching them for aggietepkatie and myself! She supplied me with most of the eggs and my girls supplied 6. Can't wait to see how it turns out!!

I set 24 yesterday afternoon. They should be mixed breeds.

This is my second attempt hatching. The first hatch yielded only one chick (I've since bought 8 chicks to keep her company). And I have to give this another (hopefully more successful) try.

I candled today, it is day 3 and I see development!!! Little tiny veins starting!!! some shells were too dark and I couldn't see but I saw definite babies in 12 of the 37! All the other shells were just too dark but the yolks didn't look round anymore, so I will see in a few days when I candle again!!!

My babies should be here on the 11th. I have 35 banties in there. I candled yesterday, but didn't see much in some, but did see some growth in a lot!

Hope you have a great hatch!

Oh Geez, you guys.....
I was planning on waiting a few more days, but now you've gotten me all interested to see what's going on in mine.
I think I'm going to candle tonight....or maybe tomorrow as my daughters are at their dad's tonight. My 6 year old LOVES candling. :)

This is my second round. I have hatch dates of 12th and 13th. And then there are eggs coming in the mail. Should be here tomorrow AM. So I'm sticking those in there too.

I got BLRW, GL, Barred Silkie Cochin, Lav. Ameraucana, and I hatching a bunch of unknowns for my friend.

Do here as well, We set eggs friday, sunday and will set more tomorrow. Had an outage for 2 hours though so who knows what the hatch rate on the first 2 will be.
These will have pyncheons, ameraucanas, frizzled and silkied cochins, black javas, white javas, BCM, and some wheaten pendesencas.
Not counting eggs this time, just the resulting chicks. Probably not going to candle much till mid way or closer to the end, the BCMs from Pasifino farms are so dark it will be hard.
Hatching for my moms ranch, but I'm probably going to pick a couple out to keep.
