Due the 22nd? Hatch with me!

We have an eighth one out, but it's still attached to the shell via the yolk sac.. The little polish is still struggling.. It's top is off, and it's just laying there now, occasionally moving. I might help it out; it's had a REALLY tough hatch.

Anyways.. Picture time! Of the first three, anyways.

Introducing..

Banshee! The first hatched, a little white crested blue/black polish.

Ray Faye (Rachel Faye, but Ray Faye is gender-neutral and funner to say)! She's a little muffed ameraucana x sex link mix.

Aaand.. Nameless! The most adorable muffed polish ever. I think she's silver laced, but she might be a mix between silver and gold laced.

My Old English Game Bantam just hatched!! It's sooooo tiny.

..I have another pip! I am so surprised! It's.. A POLISH! Haha, those polish are strong little buggers. Surprisingly. I thought I heard peeping earlier.. I guess I was right. It literally pipped in front of my face. This is me right now..

I'm really surprised right now. I hope it's okay. It seems strong.. This is such a weird hatch!

Nope, nothing. So strange. Debi suggested I candle them. So I candled a couple. The one from this batch looked fully formed, looked like it might have pipped the aircell, but I didn't see any movement in there.

The one egg to make it to the hatcher from the first set appeared to have stopped about day 18 or so from the looks of it (about when I moved the eggs to the hatcher).

So I'm still waiting. And if no one else hatches, whatever problem I have appears to be in the hatcher.

On a side note, my 2 "white silkie" chicks appear to be doing just fine. I'll get pics in a bit.

=[ Sticky, the one that got stuck in its shell, just died in my hand. I kind of saw it coming, but it's still sad..

I'm still waiting to see what will come of this pip. It's been working at it and chirping. Hopefully we'll have another little polish grace us with its presence.

Well it appears my hatch may be over. I've been so tired today and I've been in bed off and on most of the evening. While I was sleeping DD was playing with the 2 "silkie" chicks. I don't know if she has bumped the incubator or what. At some point she decided to "add water all night" to keep the humidity up. So when I got up just now the temp was 115F. She tells me it's been that high all night.

So I candled the eggs and I don't see any movement in any of them. I'll leave them overnight while I make sure she didn't ruin the element by getting water on it. Then tomorrow I'll have to clean it out for the next hatch batch.

Thanks Selina. I'm not sure anyone else was gonna go from this batch anyway. I'm not sure what happened during the move to the hatcher.
