Sorry, I have bantam cochins on the brain. Sometimes they just don't make it. I doubt it had anything to do with you.

It's 1:45am and I have peepers! It's just like a kid to wait until the middle of the night to be interesting.

Okay, so sorry I abandoned y'all. I had a prom dinner, movie, and afterprom to go to. Anyways.. I left my mom in charge of the incubator for the night.. And now I'm home!

We now have a little muffed silver polish out of the incubator, a cuckoo marans inside, as well as another white crested black/blue polish inside still. The polish egg that pipped yesterday is still working on it.. I'm kind of worried, but it's still chirping. I see another pip, and I'm hoping more will come today.. The chicks knocked the thermometer over, so I'm gonna try to get it back to visible once I grab the two in the incubator.

Come on, chickies! We want a hatch! We want a hatch!

Yay! I have a chick!

Of course I missed the whole thing. It was out this morning. It's still wet and resting in the bottom of the hatcher. I have another pip too. Go chickies!

YAY Insider! I have 15 Cuckoo Marans hatched and in the brooder now, got 1 little lonely one pipping and peeping in the bator. Got 1 other egg in there that I'm sure died several days ago, BUT a second one I had to the side because I thought was dead pipped and hatched during the night! So I will wait a bit and see on this other one.

A new polish just popped out. That's.. 6 chicks total. =] I think some of the rest will pull through.. Hopefully! They might just be late bloomers.

Insiderart, silkies are sooooo cute. My mom hates them, though, she thinks they're dumb. She especially doesn't like our silkie now because she decided to go broody.
