I have all the bottom trays full and a sponge and I'm sitting at 70.

But OHMYGOSH, there was a HUGE temp spike and I might kill myself for going to school today. I had to close the doors, in case the cats got in, and it made the room heat up. I have NO idea how long they were at that temp, but I candled one and it was moving.. Ugh, I feel so dumb now!

Mine are due to hatch on the 22nd. I have an LG with the rings full of water and a small container of water. The humidity level is fluctuating between 69 and 72. I have both of the red plugs removed right now.

I think my eggs are going to be okay.. I candled a second one and it was very mad that I was messing with it. I feel so grateful now! The incubator gods have blessed me!

Well I finally went around the edges of the interior with wet papertowel and now my humidity's back up.

So now for the waiting....

A fox just ate one of my cochins. Bit the other one. Then, my dog died. Can we say worst day ever? I even dropped my egg project baby on the bus!

I really, really hope these eggs hatch.. I could use a pick-me-up right about now..

Thanks.. I'm just hoping that things will only get better from now on.

Two months ago, though, the exact same thing happened.. Fox got through the pen and ate the majority of my chickens, and then my dog died. It's weird.. And extremely frustrating.

OMG!!!!!!!!! I came home from work tonight and I went to check on the eggs and guess what?????????? I've got a pip!!!!!!
I can't believe it, I've always ahd late hatches!!!!!!! 1 pipped and the other 2 are rocking and rollin' WooHoo!

I really think the eggs will pull through. I had an 8 hour power outage and temp spike in my last batch and still got 3 live ones and 2 that never finished zipping. Sending major good hatching karma your way---since the karma ya'll sent me is obviously working!!!

I could not sleep and now it is almost 2am on day 20. I am hatching orphingtons and they like to make there apperance on day 21 or 22. anyway.......I looked in the incubator and saw nothing...but heard peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh gosh I am excited! Will I ever be able to go back to bed?
