Due the 22nd? Hatch with me!

Me too! This gives me hope! But it's frustrating.. My 'bator has been running a bit cool since I had the temp spike, not too low, but I think that may be why. I got it set at the kinda low temp and it has been steady, so I haven't wanted to mess with it.

On the contrary, I have 18 mail order chickies from Ideal. They shipped yesterday afternoon. I was SURPRISED when the PO called me.. And then I ran around, trying to get them ready. They're ADORABLE.

I'm so jealous of everyone who has pips. I want some. And selin, that chick is ADORABLE.

Ok.. my eggs are bad bad bad eggies... nary a rock, pip, or peep! I even listened to the incubator with my stethoscope! I just know they are doing it when I'm not looking!

I bet they wait until Saturday when I am at an all day photo shoot, just to spite me!

I'm staying home all day tomorrow, just so I can futilely stare at these eggs. I'm hoping that something will come out of them.. It can even be a platypus! I took one of my chicks from Ideal down there today, the one with the BIGGEST mouth ever, and just sat her on top of the incubator for a while and let her shriek. She was perfectly content in my hand, she just LOOOOVES to make noise. I hope that it woke those eggums up in there so that they realize IT'S TIME TO HATCH!

Oh yeah, I got my 14 chicks from Ideal today. They're in perfect shape! It took them less than 24 hours to get to me.. Alll the way from Texas to Maryland. That's basically across the entire country. I was so surprised!

WE HAVE A PIP!!!!!!

I knew the polish would be the first to pip.. Right now, only one has to my knowledge. It has been intermittently peeping. I am so excited for it! Now, I want more pips.. More, I say!
Insiderart, how're your's doing? Are they being late bloomers?

Wooo! Mine seems to have stopped, but it does peeps intermittently. It's still the only one, but I now have hope for the future of my chickens..
