No visible Pips and no Peeps. They were set ion the evening at like 8:00, so i'm expecting a nightime hatch.

These are some Mystery eggs that are either Cochins or Seramas. I'm hoping they hatch, so I can know for sure.

Congrats on all those babies everyone!!!

YAY!!! SO happy to find this thread!!!!!!!! I put 24 eggs in 3 weeks ago at about 9:00 PM and now I am hearing peeps!!! THey began yesterday afternoon and this morning I got a pip and now I have 2 pips!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!! I have 23 eggs now (1 egg got all bubbly and smelled gross last week so I chucked it). I have 6 americanas, 6 Cuckoo Marans, 6 Delaware X RIRs and 5 Buff Orphingtons.

EDIT: JUST LOOKED IN THE BATOR AND THE PIP GOT BIGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN HEAR PEEPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO DARN EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS AWESOME- I CAN TELL THIS IS GOING TO TURN INTO A MONTHLY OCCURENCE. This is the best day ever because my chicks are hatching and I just had 3 cows delivered and it's just awesome.

Well, I'll just have to sit and wait for those chicks to hurry up and hatch. I can't bear to leave them to go trick or treating!

Nothing here either!!! Agh! I have cleaned the whole house today, and kept really busy, but now I have nothing else to do! Patience...patience...patience! On a sadder note, I had to put the three eggs that I had outside under a broody in the incubator...so I have probably comprimised the whole 11 of them! :heAGh! The RIR crushed one of the silkie eggs, the broody hen flipped out, so I gathered the three up and put them straight into the bator. my fingers are crossed that I get atleast one!

I am a first timer...give me some hope!!!!!

I do think her crazzzy running around yeasterday was she knew they were going to hatch soon, she did the same thing this today.. all other days she was calm ( even off the nest @ most 5 min ) I Hope everyone has good luck

I am sooo happy

i finally snapped and cracked an egg. It was a dud.

I cracked all the Mystery eggs and out of 7, 3 were duds and 4 were completely formed, but dead. They didn't even absorb the yolk sack.

Maybe the humidity was off or my line has a lethal gene, or, or ,or. My mind keeps running in circles.

It's all part of the hatching experience and life goes on.

I candled my quail eggs and they are right on schedule!

There may still be hope.

Oh, Sumatra, I'm so sorry! You started this thread with high hopes and didn't get to share good news with all of us who have followed and participated.

Although 9 chicks hatched here, there are 13 more eggs not doing a thing in one 'bator and 18 in the other 'bator I thought would be due the same day (yesterday) but which aren't showing any sign of anything. I'll wait two more days for them... because I am NOT as brave as are you - I can't crack open the duds. I just put them into zip lock bags when there's no possible way for them to be good any more and out they go into the garbage. I cannot look into them.

I always like to know when and possibly why things went wrong. I have dealt with a lethal before in my leghorn. After having consistant hatches end at the same period inh the hatch I decided not to breed my leghorns anymore.

These chicks told me there was something wrong. I'm glad I know.

I will be hatching some more that look the same to see what result I get.

They were Peepers crosses I think.
