Dumb Question---Can Eggs Catch A Virus?

I've got four goose eggs in the bator right now, they're on day 14 of incubation. This morning I woke up with a really bad cold and now I'm worried about even touching and/or breathing on them. It's a Top Hatch incubator so the eggs are being turned automatically but to keep the humidity levels up I have to soak and place sponges inside of it once a day.

Is it possible for me to transmit my cold virus to the embryo's? I'd hate to accidently kill them.
