Stupid math question (I used to excel at math, honest! Use it or lose it, I guess

)

I'm trying to figure out how tall a coop would be if I had a base 10' wide and flopped a 16' cattle panel over it into a hoop. I suspect it's going to be way shorter than I want it to be but I can't figure it out. Also, how tall would it be if I had an 8' wide base?
WOW, thats a stumper for me

I am hideous at math..

If the base was 10' it would be just over 5' high in the center. DH did something with the radius and the diameter...me I would just do it and then make side walls to make it tall er if I needed it. Now he is doing something with elliptical diameter or something.....give the man a cookie! LOL--HTH Terri O

8' base just a touch over 6' high

This are probably stupid questions...

I stopped at an old farm today to purchase a couple dozen eggs - never purchased from them before. I suspect Grandma was supplementing her retirement income.

I got home and took a look at the eggs - just collected today - and notice a strong ammonia smell. (I noticed it in the farm house too but thought a dog might have had an accident). One of the eggs was wet. And my fingers smelled from touching them.

Are the eggs safe to eat?

Should I wash them? If yes, how? (Don't eggs have a natural protective coating that keeps them fresh for quite awhile?)

Should I avoid going back to this farm? I think Grandma may be in over her head with way too many eggs to get rid of from 100 chickens. Perhaps she can't keep up with the coop cleaning. She said the local food co-op isn't buying many of her eggs anymore.

Many thanks for any help you can give me!

That sounds yucky! I wonder what caused this? I don't think I'd eat them.
