that's the same question I always get when I give out eggs and they are cream, tan, dark brown, brown and a minty green color...

This morning my mom came in my room and asked if I wanted to go to ihop.
I said no because "they abuse thier chickens." Mom says ok and goes to tell my dad this.He says "ihop has chickens?"

"WHERE ELSE DO YOU THINK THEY GET THIER EGGS FROM?!?FROM THE SKY?!?"

"Oh.Then why can't we ever see them?Aren't they in the backyard?"

I tell them thier chickens are raised in a battery.

He then says,"Let's go to the store and get the battery the chickens are raised in."

I cracked up.I couldn't help it.

There is a small farmers market stand close by. I told the lady about my chickens and farm fresh eggs and she said chickens were disgusting because they eat their own poop. Of course I told her they DON'T do that. She ticked me off and I won't go there again and buy her sub-standard produce.

Farmers market- we have one here I drive 20 plus miles to get to. One man sells eggs, I got to talking to him about what kind of hens he had and that I had RIR, BOs and Leghorns, to which he proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was doing and I needed to stop doing it. Yea, I don't shop there anymore.
