Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat - Part 2 : Chicken Boogaloo.

Have scared a few that way it's better to spend a bullet into the ground than paying for someone getting hurt on your property and suing you for danages even tho they are tresspassing!!

Yeah I guess so but sorry if I was being confusing, I wasn't saying to let them be on the property, I was saying talking would also work

Ohh in that case i guess it is worse then
Aww she's cute! And wait she is? And they still come on the property? Weird. Does she bark? If anyone came on our property, my dog would go ballistic and scare them lol
Yeah, that's true, it doesn't harm them. But idk, I just think it's a little rude or something, idk if that's the right word. I would prefer to go talk to them or close myself in the house until they leave. IMO shooting at someone (or at the ground) is unnecessary.
She is half Border collie and half Cur (southern type of dog) and she is the nicest dog you have ever seen. The worst she could do is lick you to death! But, she does bark in the middle of the night for NO reason. Idk. But she's my girl!

Awww that's awesome! Though maybe not for keeping people away lol

A neighbor called and asked if her kids and their visiting cousins could come over and see the chickens and if the chickens would like an old cabbage. Sure, I said, send them over. Kids came and we had a "cabbage party" with the chickens. When they were leaving, I gave them some fresh eggs to take home. They were very hesitant about accepting them. Then the oldest kid (about 10 years old) asked "but are they ok to eat?"

Just discharging the weapon will harm no one but it might remind people of property laws they have let slip their minds. That being said I would probably just use a roman candle.

You can get a ticket or arrested for a roman candle here.
.50cal BMG is OK though

I have a cur. Likes to bark at night also for seemingly no reason sometimes.
I think it's cause they smell something, they have really good noses.

+1 on the MHP. Aside from the fire danger the constantly lit heat lamp may be screwing up their normal circadian rhythms. Here's a link to the relative thread:

If your babies' brooder is in a dark place then you can add a desk lamp plugged into an appliance timer to simulate a day/night cycle.

Much better said/explained than I could have. :)

My chicks were so unbelievably quiet and slept all night! I'd never had chicks before though but compared to the ones at the fairs and TSC etc. Peeping constantly I was amazed!

Also I think that brooder is a bit too small
