People ALWAYS used to trespass on my "papa's" (he is not my papa, but we think of him as one) land. Complete strangers!, to hunt illegally. So he decided to plant thorn bushes (he lives in the swamps of SC) along his property. Long story short, they MOWED right through them! So he decided to put "hog wire" in the bushes. That stopped them.
Also, people always trespass at my house. We live in a historic house where there was supposedly a murder in the early 1900s (heebee geebees!) and people always stop and take pictures with out our permission. Even when we were home! My dad has "photo bombed" their pictures a lot but we get them on a weekly basis. Any ideas?
I applaud you for being brave enough to come out!Thank you so much. It is a relief. I was going to come out on Thanksgiving, but my grandpa had a rant about lesbians.
So that was a no.
I don't know the whole history on it but I do know up the road is a place called Rolling Hills Asylum, and that is "one of the most haunted places in America". But our house is supposedly the scene of the Linden Murders. Were this crazy guy went around killing people and stuffing them in his (our basement). No, not really, but sometimes at night it feels creepy...A historic property is a tough one! I had a friend who lived not far from the Amityville House & he said it was non-stop tourist traffic day & night. That was on a public street though. I have to admit I'd love to hear about your houses history, how you ended up buying it & if it really does give you the heebie geebies.![]()
I applaud you for being brave enough to come out!My unsolicited opinion is that I would not do it on a holiday or in a big group setting. I'm sure it would be easier to only say it once, but that's just begging for the 'angry villagers with pitchforks' mentality. If it were me, I would start with the person I trusted the most & tell them one on one. Telling one or two people at a time should give you a more controlled environment & give you the practice & confidence to eventually tell the less understanding members of your family. (I'm not sure I'd tell grandpa at all ... Sometimes the less people know the better!) Good luck!

Well, I didn't know for like the first six years I've lived here. So when I found out it didn't really bother me that much. I'm a night owl too!Holy crow! Really??? I'm not sure I'd have the nerve to live there! I'm a night owl & am up for hours, just hanging out by myself after everyone goes to bed... I don't think I could deal.![]()
