You are much more photogenic then me.
Thankew! I had just had my feathers done, and wore a fresh, new bonnet.

You would be the exception in most of our country. Even with leash laws, many let their dogs roam. Personally, I think if you cannot keep your animals on your property, you should not be allowed to have them...Have a couple of dogs who roam up here, they wear collars and regularly wander into my in fenced yard and sniff about my chickens- they get a bear horn for their trouble. I have two dogs who never leave the house except on a leash. If on a rare occasion I let them out they run right into my neighbours yard to visit. Can't realistically fence so I keep them on a leash.
Would be mortified if they killed anyone's pets, 'livestock' or not!!
Good for you. If you've found the *right* one once, be content with that. Don't mess up the experience by risking finding the same a second time. You'd probably only end up comparing them, and that's not constructive. In spite of what others say or think, being alone isn't a bad thing; if you like who you are, you can be very good company for yourself.
Bet if we did a poll, many of us who have chickens are somewhat recluse. My chickens are more interesting than many people I have met..Exactly. I'm a hermit anyway, and I know that I could live the rest of my life without having another person to validate my existence.
Now, chickens... a different story. Need them like breath.![]()

Mine know they will get afternoon treat tray after all have layed for the day. They look like a picket line prancing back and forth with excitement! So funny. And be very careful carrying in the tray, 2 are great jumpers...Right!
Train them from chicks to know that you are the one who gives treats and they will love you forever! Lol!
It's so gratifying to see them running full out to meet me for treats. A little scary too, since there are so many of them.![]()
