Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

1. Are green eggs seasonal, like Oberon?? (I live near a local micro-brewery).

2. Do chickens have a vagina?

Where DO the eggs come from?
3. Are you sure there are no baby chicks in these eggs? (I have no rooster, so I am 100% positive)
4. Your chickens look sick (moulting season)...maybe you should just take them to the pound.

(not sick, they shed their feathers just before winter- its the way of Mother Nature).

lol one of my conversations on this subject got turned into a webcomic once. A friend of mine in a chatroom was eating scrambled eggs and said, "mmm, chicken embryos". I was like "Actually, hens lay an egg whether or not a rooster is present, and commercially-produced eggs come from farms of only hens, so they are never fertilized. They aren't embryos." My friend said "Oh, that makes this much better!" and then I said "They're actually chicken periods." *SPIIIIIIIIIIIT*

A couple of weeks later, a friend who had witnessed the conversation showed me a webcomic with me quoted word for word. It was hilarious. XD

No, That's not what I was doing. I was just trying to get people to respond to my thread b/c I was really excited at the prospect that my "roo" could have been a hen. Turns out he's not. I'm really sorry.

I was asked if I had any extra eggs to sell, told her my girls were going through a molt so I wouldn't have any for a while. She then told me that some breeds don't molt - because her friend has a different breed than mine and they were still laying. Then I wouldn't have to worry about not getting eggs.
