You can stack records....that's why they're made thicker in the middle (record label) and the edges so the grooves don't touch. --BB

lol I couldn't eat our first eggs because I was just so gosh darn PROUD of them. XDx200!!!
Okay so I will "tell" on myself. I started with chickens last year. When my first girl laid her first egg, I could NOT eat it, I could NOT eat the second, third, fourth...for two weeks all eggs went to the dogs. I had a HARD time getting over the fact they were WARM!!!!! I know, I know, I just really was not expecting them to be so warm, now this comes from someone who had no problem with blood spots, but warm, nope not gonna do it. I have since, of course, gotten over it

PS Edited to say, I love this thread, I am guilty of a lot of things on this list, but I have no problem laughing at myself, it keeps life fun!
I was talking to another "Chicken Friend" at our local coffee shop about ways of keeping our chickens warm durring the winter when someone at another table misheard us and offered a microwave oven reciept/

#1 is warm #2 is warm if you have a "hug the thrown" moment (sorry trying to keep it pg folks) it's warm (usually) plus as a kid I watched my uncle milk a cow and drank a glass of warm fresh milk so knowing all of the above warm eggs never surprised me....x200!!!

The schools really don't teach this unless you study poultry in an ag class. There's a lot you have to get outside the classroom to learn.Once my friend asked me if the rooster waited for the hen to lay it's egg so it could fertilize it. I said what? Turns out she thought they fertilized eggs like fish do, seriously, I can't believe she actually thought that.

I grew up eating eggs that we'd just gathered when visiting our grandparents, so I never thought anything of it. My wife is from Korea and she was so excited having warm eggs. (Spoiler alert. This next part may gross out some folks who believe eggs have to be cooked over hard to be healthy.) She likes to use a chopstick to poke a hole in one end and drink the egg while it's warm, then lick some salt from her hand. I can't bring myself to do it, but I don't mind my wife eating it like that.x200!!!

I've done that, but I've licked brown sugar from my hand after... it's good... I'm not a fan of salt, I can taste ONE grain really strongly, same with pepper... my OH likes to tell people that I will find the one grain of white pepper hidden in mashed white potatoes... but, I think I will try her method with 3 grains of salt...I grew up eating eggs that we'd just gathered when visiting our grandparents, so I never thought anything of it.
