Hey Hen,
Mabhera is in Puerto Rico, and is only selling locally, so I assume the conversation was in spanish.

Was not asking to be ugly was asking because I know (y soy Latina) it can come across better (without getting testy) in Spanish.

LOL, Hen, I know you weren't being testy. And no hard feelings from the "vivisection" thread I hope, as no insult personally was intended toward you on my part, I spoke out of personal professional annoyance. Nothing to do with you. And I know my spanish ain't perfect. No soy latina, pero apredio 8 anos (please insert tilde) cuando era en escuela, pues, espero que hecho un funny.

I think it was a good oportunity to use your imagination and to practice your spanish. (By the way, your spanish is very good) It was just a recreation/ almost translation of what I wrote in english. I found it funny because the recreation was very close to what I had to endure with that possible costumer.

All is good, hormonal day for me. I was raised hearing Spanish only when my grandparents were around and in church when I was with them in the summers, understood it fluently but did not speak any outside of si, gracias, agua, y por favor. Lived in Morelia, Michoacan for 9 months (with the ex) that is where I learned to speak the lingo as I had no choice. My oldest was fluent within the first month we were there to the point of talking in his sleep in Spanish and he would correct me all the time, he was 6 yrs. old. And I will say that I probably share your annoyances and your Spanish is pretty darn good. This has been my morning

. Have a blessed rest of the day.

LOL! I've spent way too much time reading this thread. Some of these are so funny. Lucky for me I haven't had any ridiculous questions. I have come across a few people who love our chicken eggs or chicken eggs in general but refuse to even try a duck egg because they "come out of a duck's butt." Ummm... ok?

I do get, I can't believe you let your duck/ducklings swim in your tub or I can't believe you let your birds in the house. Mind your business... Lol.

I live in a rural area with many people around that "keep" chickens as well as cattle. My personel fav has to be...Wow you get free eggs! Wow you get free beef ect..What a crock as with feed cost I could buy those nasty store bought eggs by the truck load and my steak prob costs me 300 bucks. I would not change it for the world as I know all my food is fresh and without chemicals.

I like knowing my eggs are not only fresh but live a good healthy life. I also like knowing my chickens get a very diverse diet and it's shows in the egg taste. :)

So question, in early March I'm getting my next batch of cornish cross and I've got 4 pekins coming with them. If I put them in the bathtub to play for a bit, will they make a big nasty mess or just a little one? Our pond is still frozen over so playing outside isn't an option. lol And how soon can you let them go for a swim?

Heh...just got a text this morning from an old friend who I gave half a dozen of my eggs to last week, he apparently is now addicted and has decided that when he is finally able to move out of the city, he's getting himself some peeps.

This is the same guy who 6 months ago was like "wow, eggs are cool but don't the chickens make a huge mess?"...ummm no, they dig grubs out of my garden, fertilize the lawn, till my compost pile, make me free fertilizer, and provide entertainment, what's not to love?
