Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

I know, I am confused too....but I do know that it took 18 young chickens all of about 15 seconds to devour any smidgeon of meat on that turkey carcass....they jumped on that thing faster than a couple hand fulls of mealworms

It goes back to the Vegetarian feed silliness. Propaganda by the feed companies? The truth is that fishmeal is much more expensive than Soy Beans. We have been fooled by a lot of propaganda.

Fishmeal chicken feed is very good for them. They do not become aggressive because of it.

so i am sitting in class next to my firend who is dumber than a post.

My son and his family about 8 months ago went vegan.  He was telling me that he read somewhere (while researching why meat and animal products are not good for us ) this very same thing that an egg is the result of the chickens period.  REALLY?  I have not looked it up but he is the one that led me to see how the eggs are produced for the stores and for that I am grateful will not buy nor eat them again.

That last part is kind of true, but that doesn't mean that it's not good for you.

I just had a woman contact me for an egg close to hatching. One egg. That will hatch within 2 days. She wanted to put it under a desk lamp so her kids could watch it hatch, then have a single pet chicken.

I tried to explain humidity requirements and she cussed at me and hung up on me.

I didn't even get a chance to mention how mean it is to raise a solitary chick, once she heard me say no to buying one of my locked down eggs, it was over. So many things wrong with that woman.

Fishmeal can make the eggs taste somewhat fishy though. My aunt said she couldn't eat the eggs in England when she was visiting her son who was stationed there because they feed their chickens fish.

It's the feed companies that try telling us that we shouldn't feed bones or meat to dogs too, and our vet told me that a limited amount is OK for ours (springer spaniel mix that lives outdoors and gets plenty of exercise).

Okay dogs are carnivorous ... Now someone is trying to say don't feed meat to dogs?!!? Yeah, not happening here... My dogs would do some serious damage to us if we tried to make the meatless meals!

My vet said to give my dogs raw meaty bones. They make their teeth strong and keep them clean. The chickens will come up and pick bites of the bones right out of the dogs mouths. The silkies prefer to wait for bone crumbs to fall when the dogs are crunching.

Whaaaaa????? They can actually catch SPARROWS??? Mine only seem able to catch cheese and other inanimate or slow moving food items...
