I just graduated from high school last fall, out of my entire school there was only about a dozen people who hunted including myself, and I was the only one doing archery. I was really disappointed to find that all of the others I ever talked to didn't have any respect for the animals it was "haha yeah I shot that @$%#@ in the head!!" And things like that, makes me really sad and disgusted. Not to mention the other 60 who give me the "OMG you shot Bambi, how sick!" as they eat a burger. I found out my city was legalizing backyard hens and the plotting began! Now alot of my friends think I'm even more odd with a yard full of chickens but that's okay, they're the ones missing out.![]()
I'm afraid to paddle my children in public for fear CPS will come knocking. They have not come yet. Luckily my children are well behaved, and i have found that after following through with the threat of spanking children DO take you seriously the next time they misbehave. Often the threat works quite well!
As far as teaching gardening and farming in school, we have a laptop program at our school. Starting in 4th grade each child is issued a laptop. Unfortunately we have no gardening classes.
Hunting is a wonderful thing! I would much rather see a deer on my ate then rotting on the side of the road after it was hit! I think the only hunting/fishing laws there should be are whatever you kill, you eat!
