Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

There isn't any difference except in people's minds. Some people think fertilized eggs are inedible and others will pay a premium for them. My mother, for reasons of her own, preferred fertile eggs and would buy them at Trader Joes. Me, I don't care one way or the other.

from what I understand from my local chicken expert(who has over 200 birds) fertilized eggs are supposedly better for you because the eggs will have the male and female hormone in them.
just a thought there.....

keep in mind chicken bones can kill dogs and cats, but yes some does go to the feed industry. some are frozen and sold to people for snakes and other animals that feed on meat products.
Cooked chicken bones can splinter and be dangerous to animals. Raw bones are perfectly safe, I've been feeding my dogs, cats and ferrets a raw diet for close to 10 years now. Actually any cooked bones can splinter, even those bones they sell for dogs in the pet stores.

My coworkers cannot believe that I feed my chickens leftover chicken. They are completely grossed out. My chickens love the cooked chicken and the extra protein, I think, is good for them. I say whatever...

One must remember that these are the same people who eat battery produced chicken and eggs, and tons of processed "edible foodlike substances". Therefore, they should not be considered a reliable source of what's *gross* and what isn't.

I'm a vegetarian and I love chicken. Personally I'll be first in line to buy some of that stuff.

Sorry, but personally I'm willing to risk my life to save dozens of animals lives
