Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

So I decided to be nice to the world and posted a "free" ad on craigslist for a few extra EE eggs I coudnt fit in the incubator. The sweet man who got back to me first has sent me a picture every day since he put them in. I saw the day 3 email and laughed so loud that my SO shushed me.

I figured noone wou l d believe without seeing it. Day 3, eggs must be bad, they are not hatching!

Give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he misunderstood how old they were when he got them.

I won't disagree that the folks down South are generally more friendly, but 11 of the 17 Dick's Last Resort franchises are in the Southern half of the US.

Maybe because they are such a novelty there, but not so much up north?

Yeah he was not joking about thinking that roosters have to be present in farm eggs but ole mr. obvious didn't make the connection on the store bought eggs.

Twinkie eggs..... And they come from marshmallow chics! I have some peepers at home that are blueberry flavored. Go catch one of your chics and see what flavor they are. I keep mine in a snack drawer. lol

This one can't count as stupid because the little girl in question is only 4.

She was over at my house so of course she wanted to see the chickens. I'm always happy to show off my flock! While she was petting a chick one of my hens laid an egg. She was so excited!

"Can we open it up? What do you think is inside it?"

Her eyes lit up & it was adorable. Maybe she equates "finding an egg in a box" to easter egg hunts where there's a prize in the egg.

I did tell her that it only had a white & a yolk inside, but i'd cook it for her if she wanted to eat it. She was happy eough just holding it.
