I was having PC issues all day today, but I saw this at work and said it out loud and every one was rolling!!! I really need a bumper sticker that says that!!!!

Here you go: http://www.cafepress.com/mf/24807183/if-ignorance-is-bliss-why-are_bumper-sticker

I have one plastered to my desk drawer where no one else can see it but moi, for when I need a little pick-me-up.

I've got one: This very silly and pretentious woman (who drives me nuts) has said she would never eat my eggs; she ONLY eats the ones from the grocery store. Plus, she ate a brown egg once and didn't like it. She ONLY eats white eggs. Consequently, the thought of my blue and green eggs makes her ... well, green!

Anyway, yesterday she was bragging (as usual) about how she made the cheesecake she brought to the party; "I bought eggs JUST for the cheese cake because I only use the very freshest eggs. And, of course, only the very best and freshest cream cheese ...", blah-de-blah-blah-blah. All the while she's droning on, I'm thinking "If you're as picky as you say, why won't you use eggs fresh out of the chicken, instead of those old, non-organic, battery produced ping-pong balls you call eggs?"

What a sanctimonious dope.

I'd swear you are talking about my mother-in-law ... I'd ask you her name but it really doesn't matter. It's her regardless. ;)

No-one said anything but I'm highly suspicious... We made quail scotch eggs for a party we had with our band new coturnix quail eggs, and only 3 people tried them. So many people turned them down. I did have one person say they wouldn't eat them in case they had a baby in them, and I explained that it was impossible, they still didn't eat one. It made me quite upset, I'm very proud of my quail eggs.

i dont know anyone who knows everything there is to know about chickens and eggs. don't take it personal, there are so many myths out there. humans can drink unpasturized milk too, if they start when they are young.
I'm just curious, loveourbirds, why you say this...about the unpasteurized milk? what is the reasoning behind humans having to be young? and does that mean that an adult can't drink unpasteurized milk if they didn't drink it as a child?

I'm impressed. I've eaten a scotched egg and it was so delicious I started thinking about making them ... but I think they'd be a lot if work. And I've really been wanting to get into quail. So double kudos to you!

Actually you can start drinking unpasturized milk at any time...We just started about 10 months ago and it's so much richer then what you buy in the store...When we first bought it from the one farmer by us the kids went crazy drinking it....

I have heard that before. Its supposedly and antibody thing. But I dank raw goats milk as an infant then store bought milk as a child and teenager. As an adult I drink raw milk and so do my kiddos. No issues here

Quote: its supposed to have something to do with how we develop our antibodies. i grew up on raw milk so im not really sure. i do know its illegal to sell raw milk in the US because people tend to get sick off of it.

there are other things that happen like this, some people get sick off of fresh pork, chicken and beef. i myself have eaten fresh cooked meat with no problems, but dad was a butcher. it wasnt uncommon for us to have fresh meat. not everyone has this reaction, but people who arent used to it will typically get diarrhea and stomach cramps from it. i really don't know why.

There are two producers of Raw milk in California that sell to the public.

You can drink raw milk at any age. It is very tasty. http://www.organicpastures.com/
