Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

right after I read the story da bout your step daughter to my h7sband, he started complaining about how I don't do anything for the family with the animals and they need to go. Dunno what's up his... anyway...forgive me for complaining!

My SO begrudgingly accepts some of the animals, sprays my garden area with roundup over my vociferous objections, and threatens any new species I suggest with "I'll kill it!" After all that he goes out and builds them new houses and brooders and better fences to keep the predators out. I guess he loves me more than he hates the animals.

My point here is don't worry! He'll come around eventually.

Recently, I had experienced embarrassment at being told by my school counselor that if I really am struggling with finding food to eat then maybe I should go to the food bank. I then had the same suggestion by two fellow students. I heavily dislike the idea of getting any type of aid or welfare due to the fact that it's there for people who have a harder time than I do.

Anyway, nothing dumb has been said to me lately concerning the chickens. Though my niece (the one that doesn't live with us) was absolutely horrified and said that we were all terrible people for eating our chickens to which she was promptly scolded with, "Do you have sympathy for the cow in your cheeseburger? Or the turkey on Thanksgiving?" Continued to insist that we were horrible and we shouldn't do that to the chickens.
