My layers arent much older, very easy to tell apart since they are half the size! My Cornish girls are all white and the rest are brown or red...I will keep an eye on them tho,I don't plan on them being w the layers for long..its amazing the amount of water they go thru!

but as long as you keep thme apart they should make good till the cull the feeding schedule makes them take a 1-3 weeks long to get to weight but your birds will actually look like chickens when they get culled.

HELP IS THIS CHICK SHRINK WRAPPED!

stay calm get a pair of tweezers, a cup of warm water, some cotton balls or q-tips, dry paper towels.
1. work in 5-10 min sections so the chick doesn't freeze
2. Use the cotton ball or q-tips dip them in the warm water and gentlely dap over the membrane
3. Use the tweezers to strench the membrane over the chick (do your best not to break the membrane)
4. Be very carful of viens (do not cut through any if possable)
5. if you do cut through a vien use the paper towels to stop the bleeding (if bleeding does happen after it stops. wet themembrane again and put the chick back into the incubator for about 20-45min)
6. after the 5-10 mintues is up put the chick back in to the incubator for an half an hour to a hour
