Seriously the worst ones I've heard so far and it's only been a week!!!

yeah i showed a pic of a slike to my grams and she was all "are you sure that's a chicken?"

Huge argument with some of my relatives about the black skin and meat. Even after taking pictures of a male after butchering I still had some issues. Pictures of the chicken noodle soup followed. They now don't doubt me.

I named my 5 hens Priscilla, Elsbeth, Spice, Pumpkin and Maya when they were pullets. Now they are laying hens. When the time comes to put them on the table their names will change to Pot Pie, Fried, Hot Wings, Roast and Stew.

When I told her that I only have 14 birds in my layer flock and don't have that many eggs on hand, she dejectedly looked at me and told me she wanted chicken eggs, not bird eggs anyway.

She teaches a class on job skills. Resume' writing, public speaking, etc. It's pretty disturbing just how little people know

I have a friend that is a nurse. She didn't know that a rooster was a male. How does some over 10 not know that?

She admits that she knows everything about medicine but nothing else.

I agree! How could you go through your entire life and be nearing the age of retirement and not realize that a chicken is a bird?? If you really want to be blown away, ask people where pickles come from. The amount of people that think pickles grow on bushes/trees is astounding.
