Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

Is it cold down your way? My son thought all eggs were white and brown ones got sunburnt... But he's 3 so that's ok!

Aw, that's cute! My 2.5 year old doesn't have much interest in the eggs but he keeps trying to steal the golf balls from the nest boxes. Here in southwestern Ontario it's getting cooler, anywhere from 8-15 C during the day, but we've been getting frost at night.

Over here we have had a bit of frost, but we are snuggled in beside a small lake in the Lee of a big hill. Still have tomatoes on the vine up against the house. Wish we would get a killing frost so we could dig up our cannas and dahlias.
Saw a "hint for telling the age of eggs" on Facebook today. Seems that if the egg is "really old-more than three weeks".....it will float. It is then too old to use. People can't believe that three weeks is FRESH for store bought eggs.

Person: do your chickens lay eating eggs or baby's?
Me: what do you mean?
Person :
Do your chickens lay baby chicks or eggs?
Me: umm, baby chicks hatch out of eggs!
Person: no they don't! Look online and get your facts straight!
On the same day
Person: do you eat your chickens eggs?
Me: yes
Person: OMG MURDERER you do realise you're eating their baby's
Me: no, I don't have a rooster, therefore the eggs can't be fertilized
Person: you need a rooster to get eggs! So I know you have a rooster, and it's gross to eat them, they have the roosters stuff in them!

Wait, they thought that chickens laid eggs OR babies? Then why did they say that fertilized EGGS had chicks in them?...

my chickens all come into the house, they eat whats left over from our dogs home cooked food of rice eggs & meat , & like to see inside the dish washer.....lol...

That's cool.

I couldn't do that with my chickens because there's wild animals (and my dogs..) out to get them where I live. Plus every time I try to bring one in the house it does it's business.
