Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

Didn't you know? Stepping out of your comfort zone and inconveniencing yourself, and not being able to blame it on everyone but yourself, is NOT the American way! Look at all the people who are blaming fast food for their waistlines. I know that sugar is to blame for my waistline, but I'm to blame for letting the sugar get in my mouth, in the first place.

You must not be the one who sued when they spilled hot coffee in their lap.

I have been sick for the past two days with food poisoning and I had a friend as me if I was sure it was not caused by the chickens. Past the fact that I am way over cautious with them already and wash my hands every time I touch them. (mainly it is because I was carrying them outside and they always cut my hands when I do) Getting sick from a well chicken is not something I expect to happen. I really have not heard about someone getting food poisoning from being around chickens.

Be sure to tell her it was most likely from the store bought, mass produced eggs you consumed at a restaurant.

What I left out of my story after the fact of being called mean I pointed out to this lady (she was 3-4 years older and went to the only other high school in our town) I pointed out I was a boy and they told us in health class that might happen while a female was on the pill, granted different teachers but same curriculum that if I remembered that a person who couldn't be on the pill because I have the wrong parts to take it, she was the one with a problem not me.

My local supermarket has brown eggs selling much cheaper than the white eggs.

My thought is they are slower selling and get a price break because of the reasoning of posts above...

The brown egg has something wrong with it, it's unclean, etc. So it's not in high demand at retail. Crazy!

In my local store in northern Michigan the brown eggs sell for way more than white eggs. Amazing! Just a few years back you didn't ever seeing brown eggs in our stores. The only way you could get brown eggs was to buy them from a local farmer.
