I sent an email to one of the rescuers listed there. As I wrote earlier, Majestic is full to capacity, and we are still looking for someone to take these four Muscovies in. My setup won't work, and I don't see how I could make adjustments that would work, either. Phooey.

But I'm sending out pleas for a foster home or permanent home for these ducks. They sound precious!

If any of you know someone who's been considering Muscovies, this is an opportunity to have a nice small flock, and you don't have to go through the stinky brooder stage!

You'll probably also get some cosmic extra credit.

Winter is closing in here, so please ask around, call that distant cousin in Greenwich or Chester or Middletown and see what you can do to help.

i have 2 sisters in 4h that could show them and my 3 kids will start school soon (one kinder, 1 la4(pre-k), and 1 will be 2 years old) and once they get into 4-h they can show and raise awarness of the rare breeds

I used to be a little put off by the caruncles, but I gotta admit, their overall beauty is begining to appeal to me! Oh, for a bigger place!

I haven't seen anything posted as to whether they have found a home yet.. Fingers crossed they do..
