This was posted on another group I'm in :

Someone dumped 4 very friendly, very pretty brown muscovys at a pond on LI. All appear to be in good health and likely this year's hatchings. They all need to be rehomed.
All eat from your hand, allow themselves to be picked up, come when called.
Transport to anywhere in NY, Ct. Mass, can be arranged.
    Safe homes only, please.
Anyone interested please contact me at [email protected]
    Thanks
    Caroline

    Ps.
There are 3 females and one male.

Oh I wish I was a little closer! I have a massive covered pen with only three tiny Mallards in it.

Good on you for raising awareness of this situation! Let's hope someone that will treat them well comes and gets them!

Quote:Oh no! There's no rescue or humane society that would take them? That's really bad, especially if one can walk up and pick them up.

    Southern New England
Majestic Waterfowl is in Lebanon, Connecticut.

The person who is nearby, who has had contact with the ducks, may (I don't know for sure - they are about or at capacity, and I don't think LI is technically New England, but it's a thought) want to contact MW:
