My dad was walking down to the road to check the mail, and someone just dumped a pup! This person just pulled into the end of our driveway, took the pup out of his truck, got back in his truck and left.

This pup can't be any older than 10 weeks if that, and is already as big as our 7 month old beagle (who is on the big side himself). I wasn't able to get a pick of him, but he is either a St. Bernard mix, or a great pyranese mix, this pup is absolutely huge! And just as sweet as can be! The poor thing was just sitting there when my son and I went down to find it. The house is about 1/4 mile from the road, my dad just left the pup there, but told me about it when he got back to the house. He said it looked like a golden retriever, but there is no way!!

I'll get some pics tomorrow, so you all can tell me what breed you think this big little guy is

I just can't believe some people, there is even an animal shelter in town! Too cheap to take it there I guess!

Awww poor thing, some people are just...well...I can't say! Are you going to try to find it a home? Would love to see pics.

Well, since my dad made it no secret, and the first words out of my 4-year-old's mouth was "can we keep it?", I'd say it has already found a home.

I needed another dog like a hole in the head! I really like big dogs, but I think this one will be a monster!

Aww, maybe we can help find it a home here! Poor little thing, I'm glad he was at least dumped in a place that loves animals!

I'll think about it, I really didn't want another dog! My son is already claiming the pup as 'his' though, so I don't know how well we'll be able to rehome him! I'll try to get a pic, but with it being dark (and my dad being a fanatical 'no dogs in the house' type), I'd say it will have to wait till tomorrow. I'll see what I can do, it is very pretty, but very big! It is definitely bigger than my 'big dog' (GSD) was at that age, and she is every bit of 70 pounds now, at just over a year!

WOW sounds huge! I agree with redhen, craigslist could be a good way. As for your son, I am sorry, I really don't have any advice, I hope it works out

This one is next to the 7 m/o beagle, so you can see just how big he is!!
