So cute!!! I'll post pics later...I ended up with three little ones...they are adorable!

3 out of how many eggs?

I had two out of 8 eggs. However, I had low percentage on all the eggs I set this time. So I don't think it was the eggs. I had gotten some lemon cuckoo orpington eggs locally - and not a single one of them hatched. I've done two hatches now. The first time I had a great hatch. This time was the pits. I'm thrilled that I got two of the choc orp projects chicks to hatch, though. I only got 1 out of 8 Swedish Flower Hen eggs. :-(

8 of 13 made it to lock down wiggling and moving...I left another one in cause I was on the fence...I had 3 hatch, but I had poor hatch rate on all my eggs set (from different sources) this time...in fact, these had the best of all eggs set. The issue was in the incubation, not the eggs. I did eggtopsies and all chicks were well developed...internally pipped, but didn't finish the process...it was my error for sure! Here's pics of my three little fighters that made it through despsite less that ideal circumstances!

These are from BBS pen, not dun...but there's a chance some dun might appear...

Your chicks are precious! My hatch sounds just like yours - eggs from several sources and all did poorly. Definitely an error on my part. We'll both have better luck next time!

No...my chicks legs are slate colored...feet are pink

I didn't get a real great picture of their legs and feet....but this one you can at least see the color a bit more.

Such a bummer too...waited so long for these chicks...then I screwed it up!! I ordered a new cabinet bator...sick of fighting with my LG! Hopefully this will be my last bad hatch!!! Gotta get some more of these eggs...I can't hardly wait for them to grown!!

That way I can just pass right by my own error!!

I love the little chicken, the plume is so beautiful, so soft and so warm. Feeling the warm winter is coming. Beautiful!

Sorry guys, I have been really busy but I will try to get pics tomorrow since the chicks I hatched are the oldest. I had 7 hatch on the 21st of November. 6 black and one blue. They are nearly 3 weeks old now, feathers are coming in and I still have 6 black and one blue.
I will try to get pics posted tomorrow.
