No bad smell at all. I got my bantam EE over it in 4 days and he is perfectly fine now. I think it is a respiratory thing. Still awfully serious but I am hoping everyone gets over just as fast as he did. I just dont know if I should dose everyone or not. All I have is duramycin and some vit/min supplements. And then someone told me it was worthless giving them duramycin if they are on layer feed. Well my dh bought my feed last time and I dont normally feed layer becauseI have a mixed flock and he grabbed 2 bags of layer and put it inthe bins for me. He didnt know to check the tag to see what formula the feed was. So now I have 100lbs of layer that I didnt want in the first place,,,Oh... your poor chickens! I do hope the antibiotic works well for them.
Do they by any chance have a foul smell to the discharge from eyes, nose or mouth? I am hoping it is not Coryza which can be awful for them and it is contagious to all of the flock.
Whatever it is I trust they will all be back in full health very soon with the antibiotic.
