Duramycin10 dosage?

Hi i posted i have 2 hens and 1 either was bit by a possum or a has some cut toes

Following rec's here I purchased some antibiotic

duramycin 10 (10g)

packet says

Control of chronic respiratory disease (CRD air sac disease) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Escherichia coli, infectious synovitis caused by Mycoplasma synoviae sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride.

CRD AIR SAC DISEASE: Use soluble powder in the drinking water at a drug level of 400-800 mg tetracycline hydrochloride per gallon per day in divided doses. INFECTIOUS SYNOVITIS: Use soluble powder in the drinking water at a drug level of 200-400 mg tetracycline hydrochloride per gallon per day in divided doses. (Administer for 7-14 days).

so should i give 400-800 mg for a gallon?

(i have a 1/2 gallon waterer so it would be 200-400)

or is this even the right medicine

(anyone know what 200-400 mg is in teaspoons?)

any help is very welcome

what about plain old neosporin, I've used it on chickens it works very good

i went with the antibiotic because i noticed her bit toe looked a tiny bit different from the other

i put neosporin on as well-but she proceeded to step in her food dish her water dish and her poop!

Duramycin is virtually worthless especially for an infected foot. I have never experienced that in my own flock so i'm not sure what antibiotic you should give her but i am sure someone else with more knowledge will come along soon

i put neosporin on as well

she is still eating very well and drinking and perching...

well her foot healed but not straight her "knuckle" is a little bent to the left...she has a small limp too

i stopped the duramycin today (10 days) how long do i need to wait before the eggs can be eaten again?
