What are some of your recommended dust bath ingredients? What kind of potting soil would you recommend?

I won’t go use potting soil unless organic, since most have fertilizer. Just use some sand mix with DE or ashes and regular soil.

I would not use any potting soil without looking carefully at ingredients, organic or not. Most potting mix has fertilizer and other additives. If it's just a combo of sand, wood fines, things like that, it's ok, but really read the label.

A combo of anything like sand, wood ash, clean garden soil, peat moss is fine. I use peat moss since it's easy to get and the chickens like it well enough.

I use a mix of dirt, DE, and wood ash. My first is very dry and clumpy where I live so I put some in a bag and hit it down until it’s a nice fine consistency

I use a mix of dirt, sand, crushed granite, wood ash and DE. If I was going to buy my soil I would get a bag of top soil.
