What are ideas to fill a kiddie pool for a healthy dust bath?

My favorite combo is fireplace ashes, sand, and dirt. About 40 pounds of soil, 25 pounds of sand, and a pale of ash from the fireplace. Or elemental sulfur, about 4 cups worth if no ash is available.

I use a sand/soil/ash mix as well, but my ladies prefer to dig up the carpet of pine needles under the trees and use the soil underneath to bathe in. So much for my careful research and thoughtful planning! They sure smell pretty though.
