dust bath "recipe" AND wing feathers already?

We heat with a wood stove in the winter, so ashes aren't a problem. Do you have a friend with a fireplace?

no...but we have a fire pit in the yard of the house we're eventually moving into (we need to sell this one first) and that's in the middle of nowhere. so i'll burn some when i go visit again!

any soil recommendations?
