Yes. Only keep in mind that wild birds can bring in a new infestation. You’re never done with future risks. Thats why I always check weekly from spring - autumn. And apply DE consistently.

I haven’t seen any adult red mites in 2 years (since the last overcome infestation). Im pretty sure there are no more mite-eggs hatching from the cracks in the coop anymore.

Yes and that's why you keep up adding DE periodically. That doesn't mean you just give up and don't use it. That doesn't mean it is not working. That just means that you keep up your due diligence and do what is right for your flock.
