Do you mean red in the ear lobe?

One thing to realize about Dutch birds, especially males, is that young birds (under about 8 months) will often have red in their ear lobes. It will go away once they mature, so don't cull a young bird just on that criteria. I did that the first year I had Dutch, and have regretted it ever since. Just fyi.

I didn't like the Dutch back then cuz all I have seen are the ones with not much of a fan tail like the oegb that is why I went with the oegb instead. If you're in CA, one of the best breeders of Dutch in North American lives there. Seek out Kristi van Gruenen, she's the President of the Dutch club, and has gorgeous birds.
