What color pair do you have Tanichca?

There may be others. And I am not sure which varieties are accepted varieties except for the LB, CLB, BLB, & BCLB. I know several of the other colors are accepted, but I don't know which ones offhand (I think Black, Blue, Self-blue, Silver, & White? might also be accepted, at least by the ABA. Don't quote me on that, though!).

The Light Browns are the most common variety & are going to have the best Dutch type. Cream Light Browns would seem to be the next most popular variety, along with the blue variants of the light brown/cream light brown. I have seen Silvers, Blue Silvers, Blacks, Blues, & Self-blues at the shows, too, but not as often and not in the quantity of the other colors (though someone did have a lot of Blacks at Ohio...can't remember who).

your roo looks pretty good. so does your hen for that matter from what I can see. I am no judge though.

Hi, I was wondering if you folks can help me. I have a silver dutch roo and a wheaten dutch hen. Is it okay to breed them, or do I need to find a silver hen?

sure you can breed those together, would be best to get mates in the same color obviously, but with a silver duckwing to wheaten hen, most of you chicks will be silver pullets and gold duckwing cockerels.

anything in the duckwing, wheaten, birchen families can be easily mixed with mainly true to color offspring being the result. Not knowing the full back ground of the parents may throw a little odd ball in every now and then, but for the most part , all those when mixed will result in one or the other in gold silver, or bb red colors.

I hve been feeding them 18% laying crumbles for a while so I dont know if this made them start early or if it is the norm. i just started keeping records on hatch dates so This is the first batch of dutch for me that i know exactly how old they are.
