It looks really pretty! But I wouldn't do that. I just want to keep mine natural looking.

Your EE is pretty though. I wonder how many people are gonna be like "OMG what kind of chicken is that?! It's NEON!"

I would think there is nothing wrong with it ..BUT..
scrubbing the oils out of feathers is not prolly not a good thing..They have oil in and on them for different reasons.

Other than that.. doesnt looke like he minds it.
Just be careful .. some people around you might not think its funny and call the ASPCA to call it " animal abuse" .Some people just wont think ist funny ..

The oils on there feathers come back. And the dye is totaly harmless it's just food coloring. It's safer than dyeing your hair. The chicken was not harmed in anyway at all. I did it actually so he wouldn't stand out and get attacked my the big chickens. He was going to be dark blue but I ran out of blue.

After all is said and done, he does look good. Although there is criticism, he is cute. So many will jump on it and say it's wrong, but honestly, of all the colors you could have used, he looks good. Kudos to you

I bet a person could use a spray bottle and food color to give their white birds some really rockin' strips.

Now that I think about it I have some nice white cochins that would love to look like rockstars.

I think it looks pretty. My polish loves to sit on my raft in the pool on a hot day and she sometimes just dips her feet in but she has gotten in before and not acted like it bothered her but actually enjoyed getting cooled off.

Hey, uh dude! Why is you chicken a yellow green color?
