I like that! It will defiantly be a top name choice if the little green chick hatches. Lockdown starts Friday, getting really close!!!

I've been meaning to get on here and update. It was a flop

. I had a horrible hatch, out of 6 eggs (all wiggling in lockdown) only 3 hatched and one died before it came out the incubator and one of the ones that made it out is doing really bad and is pretty lethargic and notdowny looking. It was disappointing, I'm just hoping the chick that isn't doing well doesn't die and if it does it's after Easter so I'm not trying to buy a chick tomorrow. I'm not sure what went wrong my last hatch was 100%. I was using a different bator this time so maybe that made a difference

. I don't think I will try this again

I am betting on the incubator also. I have had horrible hatches while using one particular incubator which is not reassigned to drying the hatchlings.

I am so sorry to hear about your hatch. I just had a horrible hatch as well. So I know they feeling. But was the one you dyed green actually green???

Anyone know what the laws are on dyeing chicks in Illinois? I just found some youtube videos and did a search and it brought me here. :p

I know nothing about laws on dyeing chicks.........If you are injecting the eggs with food coloring is it the same as dyeing a chick? I mean It hasn't hatched yet. It would seem that you are not dyeing a chick at all. You are Just putting food coloring in an egg at that point...I don't know . Just saying.
